Irina Cios is an art critic and curator, director of the International Center for Contemporary Arts, Bucharest, and also guest lecturer at the Bucharest University. Phd candidate at CESI - Center for Excelency in the Study of Image, Bucharest. Initiator and curator of the SPACE Gallery of ICCA (2000 – 2003) promoting experimental art and new media she organized important events in partnership with international art institutions. Initiator of an Artist in Residency program in 2007, organized in the frame of ICCA. Editor of contemporary art catalogues; Co-author of the volume Photography in Contemporary Art. Trends in Romania, after 1989 (2006). Since 2006 president of the Romanian section of the AICA - International Association of Art Critics.
